We are a student-led design agency powered by Liberty University students. We provide creative services for non-profits and design innovative solutions for the print and digital world through research, client engagement, and creative problem-solving.
Our goal is to immerse our students in every facet of the professional agency environment. They will gain experience in leadership, teamwork, design, and production, all while enhancing their professional portfolios.
We never have a dull word or design to share. We are authentically energetic, affirming our youthful foundation. Our passion influences how we communicate and all we create. We’re excited about design and serving our community!
Clarity is essential when communicating about our work, processes, and strategy. Directness and the ability to give and take opinions are also important. We offer critique and make and take suggestions professionally. Being students and being polished aren’t mutually exclusive. In our youth, we offer clean, concise communication and design while being curious and synergistic.
Our agency team brings together students from all backgrounds, experiences, and talents to deliver excellent work to non-profits. Our community is youthful, humble, curious, motivated, synergistic, collaborative, and, most importantly, service-focused.
We work hard and play hard not just as a team but with our clients and our university leadership. We share meals with the Provost, prank the professors, attend our client events, laugh a lot, and even make music. We are excited to continue to build this community that is a bit odd but in every great way.

Open Quote Creative (OQC) was formed as part of a faculty initiative to cultivate stronger community engagement while providing students with valuable learning opportunities. The agency’s launch was made possible in August 2023 through grant funding from Liberty University’s Office of Sponsored Programs & Research and support from the School of Communication & the Arts.

Over two decades ago, before our academic department existed, an idea for a student-led design agency was born.
Now as the Department of Studio & Digital Arts with 400+ students, it was time to revitalize and refine the idea. Doing just that, Professors Cannon, O’Neal, and Rygh applied for funding.
The School of Communication & the Arts approved the request, and the Office of Sponsored Programs & Research provided funding to launch the agency.
During this crucial year of planning, our professors met with many departments, including Risk Management and Legal Affairs, Marketing, and Financial Planning & Budgeting, and more. Their next steps were acquiring space, setting up the associated course, meeting with an industry consultant, and developing necessary content such as job roles, policies and procedures, etc.
The agency was successfully launched! During this semester, our talented students developed the name and branding for the agency and completed projects for three clients. Shout out to Advancing Native Missions, Acts, and Rush Homes for working with us the first semester!
